Our kitchen is run by Norse catering, providing high quality meals throughout the school week.

Norse provides a 4-week menu cycle that has been
developed using recipes from nutrient analysis software.
This means that menu cycles meet all the nutrient based standards for both Primary and Secondary schools and offer pupils balanced, healthy and appealing lunchtime meals.

School meals are ordered using an order envelope available from the school office.

All orders must be made by the start of the day on Mondays each week – or the first day back if school is closed on the Monday or your child is absent from school on that day.

We are flexible about choices:
You may order meals for every day of the week or just for selected days
You may opt for the standard hot meal or for a vegetarian alternative.
You may opt for the pudding of the day or for a fresh fruit alternative
All dietary needs can be met – we will provide you with the contact details for Norse in order that they can provide expert assistance.

Universal School Meals offer for children in years R, 1 and 2:

As from September 2014, all children in the above year groups can benefit from a government scheme providing a school meal without charge on each school day.

Children do not have to take up this option every day – it is your choice – but if you wish to keep this offer open to you, you will need to complete the application form for the Universal School Meal scheme.

Free School Meals:

Free school meals are available for children in all year groups if you are in receipt of certain benefits. Details can be found here:

http://www.norfolk.gov.uk/Childrens_services/Schools/School_meals_and_milk/NCC027121

It is very important to the school that you apply for free school meals if you qualify for them
even if you do not wish your child to receive a meal and
even if your child is already receiving a meal under the Universal scheme above
This is because the school receives additional funding called ‘Pupil Premium’ for every child who qualifies for free school meals. The funding can be used to support your child in making their education as successful as possible – this could mean:
Support with the costs of school outings or residential trips
Support with the costs of clubs and activities
Additional support with learning if appropriate
Additional pastoral support if appropriate

If you qualify for free school meals, please make sure you are able to take advantage of these benefits by completing the application form found here:
