Friends of School

Welcome to the Friends page of the school website. Here you will find the latest news regarding Friends and can review the minutes of our meetings and our latest fundraising events.

The Friends of Preston Primary has been running for many years and we focus on raising money for the school to cover costs of all projects that usual school grants simply won?t cover. Recently, we were privileged to be able to contribute towards the fantastic Pirate Ship in the school playground and in recent years Friends have funded I-pads, Preston?s plot and wildlife area, coach trips for all children, Christmas presents from the teachers to the children, a greenhouse and sheds and most recently we have funded a new quiet area in the Reception classroom which has been quite a hit with the children, have a look below at the photos!

We are a group of parents who meet once a term and are supported currently by Georgina Rich who represents the school teaching staff and helps us to achieve our goals. We come together to plan fundraising events, some of which have included an annual Family Fun Night, Christmas hampers which we sell raffle tickets for at the Christmas performances, Bingo and Quiz nights and many sponsored events over the years involving the children in fundraising efforts.

If you are interested in joining our friendly committee, please speak to Georgina Rich or come along to a meeting where you can find out more about what we do. If you have any suggestions for fundraising events then please do not hesitate to let us know your ideas!
